Throughout the year, my writing has grown and developed in many different ways. If I were given more time to work on any of my writing pieces, I would have attempted to add more detail when talking about myself in "Meeting Band Members" or "My Life Soundtrack". In "My Life Soundtrack," I could have used more life experiences of mine to describe the meaning behind the songs that I chose. Secondly, in "Meeting Band Members," I should have discussed more in depth what it was like meeting All Time Low multiple times. Sometimes, I find it difficult to write about myself because I need to find personal experiences to try and show what I'm trying to say. Before I write an essay or story, I always plan out what I'm going to write. I decide what my major points are going to be and what details I am going to use to support them. My least favorite piece of writing would have to be anything that compares books to one another. I don't get to include any personal experiences or opinions in essays like that. My favorite writing piece would have to be my narrative for The Moth, which is also the piece of writing that I am most proud of. I was able to talk about a band that means a lot to me and my experiences being face to face with the band members.

While looking over all of my writing, I was able to see that I have become more confident in what I was saying and I have incorporated more details. Also, while getting more in depth while writing, I gave the reader something to visualize. These points are important to me because I always wanted to improve my writing style and I wanted to use more details. To me, the thing that is most valuable and is most improved is becoming more confident. I wrote what was on my mind and I stopped second guessing myself. With practice, I feel like my writing has become stronger with each and every piece of writing.
